I think each and every one of these precious creatures that we love and care for becomes a part of who we are. A GOOD part.Nancy K.https://www.blogger.com/profile/06061265740359266798noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21054991.post-39066992700270875752009-12-06T09:24:52.365-06:002009-12-06T09:24:52.365-06:00I know how this feels -- reminds me of my little B...I know how this feels -- reminds me of my little Bramble last spring. Much as events like this are painful, I have come to recognize it's part of choosing to have livestock, and it's going to happen from time to time no matter how careful and caring we are. I would not change the decision I made to move out of the city. This life comes with heartache, but such big rewards.Claire MWhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02603169881463831299noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21054991.post-14626340138339871422009-12-05T13:21:34.272-06:002009-12-05T13:21:34.272-06:00I'm sorry. And when you work at keeping newly hatched chicks alive and well and one dies, it's a sad day.Lisa @ Life with 4!https://www.blogger.com/profile/18420662680307056819noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21054991.post-45092126630317164782009-12-05T12:47:38.016-06:002009-12-05T12:47:38.016-06:00I can truthfully say I won't forget him either...I can truthfully say I won't forget him either. You made him live for me in your post and I found myself thinking about him several times during the day this past week, hoping he'd be better. I am sorry for your loss and appreciate the reminder that life, all life, is precious and should be fought for.BJ Gingleshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02816781442671196760noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21054991.post-55033248788319446472009-12-05T12:15:44.759-06:002009-12-05T12:15:44.759-06:00I'm sorry you lost Lambie Pi. All of a sudden they seem not to be the same friend anymore. And I guess that's the truth of it.CONEFLOWERhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13547544109039910307noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21054991.post-40680571434766934572009-12-05T11:11:10.880-06:002009-12-05T11:11:10.880-06:00Sorry to hear that the little lamb died. When people tell me a 'sick sheep is a dead sheep' I want to punch them in the nose (well maybe not, but it makes me mad!). I've found that a sick sheep that is cared for and loved on will fight as hard as they can. Sometimes they make it, and sometimes they don't, but at the end of the day, at least we can say we did what we could. Doesn't help the sadness, but it's what we can do.
Take care,
TammyTammyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02131066591477169851noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21054991.post-33424687510159539582009-12-05T10:18:38.988-06:002009-12-05T10:18:38.988-06:00You don't just give up on a whole life just be...You don't just give up on a whole life just because it's a little beat up.
