I'd like to get a couple trees (or bushes if that variety is better) asap. It's not very fast, but if you eat them while you're picking, the time flies.

We have Nanking cherry bushes, and I've heard they do well in places that are too cold for trees. They do great here.Deborah Niemannhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10754242197245805551noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21054991.post-52616552355207018602010-06-17T06:19:17.641-05:002010-06-17T06:19:17.641-05:00Our mulberries are just starting to turn. Also what kind of cherries? I'd like to grow some here if possible (SW Minnesota).Candy https://www.blogger.com/profile/01852157597174301499noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21054991.post-71070281927935743982010-06-15T16:04:48.181-05:002010-06-15T16:04:48.181-05:00Of course, Melanie, you are correct! Isn't it funny how we still debate things that could easily be solved by a quick google search?

Chef E, we lay out the berries on a cookie sheet and freeze them in a single layer to that they're not stuck together. Then we vacuum seal them in freezer bags of various sizes, such as 1 cup for berry-granola parfaits, 6 cups for berry crisp, etc.Deborah Niemannhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10754242197245805551noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21054991.post-89416711170205309602010-06-15T13:04:04.986-05:002010-06-15T13:04:04.986-05:00Sounds like a great berry harvest! :)Sounds like a great berry harvest! :)LindaGhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12203719919661519350noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21054991.post-51239764959880016942010-06-15T08:58:28.989-05:002010-06-15T08:58:28.989-05:00Oh PS the website is up http://wampp.cookappeal.co...Oh PS the website is up http://wampp.cookappeal.com/Chef Ehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11198603107302675448noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21054991.post-66957728289003169852010-06-15T08:57:53.106-05:002010-06-15T08:57:53.106-05:00Same here in Jersey- blueberries came a few weeks ...Same here in Jersey- blueberries came a few weeks early, and we are happy about that!
