Carmen's birth video

Here's the edited version of Carmen's birth. Katherine started with 25 minutes of footage and edited it down to this version, which is less than six minutes, complete with captions and background music.

By the way, thanks to everyone who suggested names for the twin does. We decided to go with Claire's suggestion of Merimee (author of the book on which the opera is based) and Micaela (another character in the opera, Carmen).

Thanks for letting me see the newborns! I've watched kittens, puppies, hamsters and mice being born, but never farm animals. What a beautiful pair of babies!

Thanks for sharing that! My two homeschooled kids enjoyed it and are now asking to see kittens being born...off to youtube for that.

Glad everyone enjoyed it. Katherine's pretty proud of her work. It took her a couple days to get it all done. She wonders HOW movie editors do it -- looking at he same clips over and over and over again to get everything timed just right.

Wow, I am now even MORE excited about Stuffin's birth....that was amazing! I loved the background music too! I am delighted that you liked my name suggestions! That's neat! Even if my own goat doesn't have kids, I got to name somebody else's!

Even though I'm more accustomed to watching human birth videos, this one was just as special and sweet! My daughters watched with me and are hoping Katherine brings those little girls to church as soon as they are up for an outing. ;-)
